Ramona Fradon dead at 97
The Wrap reported that veteran artist Ramona Fradon, who co-created Metamorpho in the Silver Age, has died at 97 years of age:
Ramona Fradon, a comics artist for more than 70 years, has died at 97. She retired just last month. Fradon’s death was shared by Catskill Comics, a comic book art dealer, on Facebook.Well, there's another talented artist of her time - and a woman whose legacy is unlikely to be acknowledged or appreciated by modern wokists - who's now gone from this world. Also sad is that these new live action movies are unlikely to do justice for her creations. Exactly why it's better to read and recommend the much older stories from when she originally began.
She began her career in 1950, beginning to work for DC Comics early on. She’s best known as an artist on “Aquaman” and cocreator of the superhero Metamorpho, set to be played by “Barry” actor Anthony Carrigan in James Gunn’s forthcoming “Superman: Legacy” next year.
