2 problematic panels to be held at Schomberg Center's 12th Black Comics Festival

The City Life gave a report on the 12th Black Comics Festival to be held at Schomberg Center in NYC, and there's at least 2 panel discussions being held there that're pretty woke, as they say:
Say it Proud: Amplifying LGBTQ+ Voices in Comics (Friday, April 26 @ 3:30 PM) – A conversation on how comic creators are expanding and creating exciting spaces for LGBTQ voices in comics, novels, and multimedia. [...]

She’s Out There Screaming: Women and the New Golden Age of Black Horror (Saturday, April 27 @ 3:50 PM) – An exploration of the dynamic role of women in shaping the resurgence of Black horror.
Wow, I'm not sure what's worse, the promotion of LGBT ideology, potentially to children, or the promotion of the horror genre, something else that's become overabundant in this sadly PC era. This is an embarrassment. And no doubt, another problem is that it's highly likely it's all superficial, limited to ideology, and not dedicated to nationalities and foreign cultures abroad. Alas, this is what conventions these days seem to have come down to.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
