Jewish-created comics aren't immune to modern censorship, or political exploitation

The Conversation gave some history of Jewish-developed comics of the past century, and they allude to how Bill Gaines, famous for being EIC of MAD magazine, changed his father Max's publication from "educational" to "entertaining", and what happened in the 1950s:
Gaines was a former schoolteacher and channelled this into his work. He named his company Educational Comics, with such titles as Picture Stories from the Bible. However, when his son William took over E.C. Comics in the 1940s it became notorious as a publisher of horror comics and these were banned in the following decade.
Has it ever occurred to them there's only so many comics with Jewish creators/publishers that could end up becoming banned goods too, if we don't pay attention to all the censorship that's already occurring in the USA and elsewhere? I'm no fan of the horror genre, but of course that was a mistake to get them banned back in the mid-50s, with the worst part being that today, sex is what's undergoing alarming censorship, while violence, ever since those days, otherwise gets a free pass. This article also opportunistically parroted the recent PC narrative of Superman as literal immigrant:
Siegel and Shuster were sons of Jewish European immigrants, leading some modern comic book writers to compare Superman’s alien immigrant identity to other émigrés in America. The International Rescue Committee noted the importance of the character for the antisemitic era of the 1930s: “Superman’s story is the ultimate example of an immigrant who makes his new home better.”
They just couldn't resist perpetuating the exploitation of this recent propaganda for the sake of illegal immigration comparisons, could they? Kal-El was sent to Earth from a destroyed planet called Krypton when still in infancy, was adopted by Jon and Martha Kent and named Clark, and was little more than a refugee whose homeland exploded into space debris, yet these blatant SJWs have the gall to hijack Siegel and Shuster's classic creation for the sake of their modern agenda that makes no distinction between immigration and refugee status, and no distinction between legal and illegal immigration, for that matter. Such propaganda's sadly led to Superman practically being exploited by DC's modern overlords to serve apologia for ideologies hostile to Jews, and no genuine gratitude is ever offered to the Jewish creators who brought these creations around in the first place. Even Starfire from New Teen Titans may have fallen victim to such propaganda.

Naturally, these columnists have no shame or regret for following up on the exploitation of Jewish-created stories for the sake of their degrading agendas, and it's very sad. One more reason it'd be best for DC, and Marvel, to close their publishing arms.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
