And now, it's ready. Ta-da!

I'd thought of this for awhile now. Something in which I could try and expand upon what Women in Refridgerators is intended for, and to offer some more in depth analysis, even if it's mainly in my own opinions, on what wrongs were done against various female characters in comic books from mainstream companies like the big two.

And that, as I proudly present, is in a new blog I created which I call The Comic Book Discrimination Dossiers. Besides the intro, there's also what I thought should be the first official profile, that being for Elasti-Girl, since, after all, if the male members of Doom Patrol came back from the dead but she didn't, then that's exactly why what was done (or rather, wasn't) in past years, makes it a major insult.

And so, whenever I can, I'll be writing up a profile for the characters I can find who may have suffered some of the lowliest acts of discrimination in comics, and not just the female characters, but also male characters like Captain America, who suffered at the hands of some of the worst political biases four years ago. Cases like those too can be of great importance.

A bold blog project I'm embarking upon, and so, I sure hope I can come up with some great stuff.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
