The Last Stand?

In an interview with MTV's website (via TrekWeb), Brett Ratner, director of the third X-Men movie says it'll be the last one:
MTV.com posted an exclusive interview with X-Men The Last Stand director Brett Ratner, in which he reveals there will be no more X-Men movies other than possible spinoffs.

"Well, it seems to be the last of the series," Ratner said "We wanted to make sure the audiences knew that this was a trilogy. Even though they weren't made together like Lord of the Rings, this is really closure for the X-Men series. ... This is the last stand for sure."
I'm kinda surprised. You'd think they'd want to keep making money on them, but now, it'd almost seem as though they were able to resist temptation.

How odd.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
