Rayner-ization
You can call it Rayner-ization, with or without the dashline, and IMO, it certainly describes the case surrounding Ryan Choi, the editorially mandated replacement for Ray Palmer, Silver Age Atom, in more ways than one. I'll reiterate that I'm not being taken in by this, and there's a lot of GL material from the past decade that, if I don't have it, I probably won't get either, since the time has come to mend any mistakes of yore. But it's Ray Palmer who decidedly needs all the help he can get now, and, lest we forget, Jean Loring, seeing how DC is still intent on assailing their characters.
On the Flash, current writers Paul deMeo and Danny Bilson are now being replaced with one named Mark Guggenheim. However, that doesn't mean I'm satisfied with even just that. I've decided that even with the Scarlet Speedster, I'm going to have to draw the line somewhere, and make it clear that whether I accept replacing Barry Allen with Wally West, that doesn't mean I accept repeating the idea of tossing out one Flash and replacing with another. Certainly not if it's done with the cynicism that they did all this with.
By the way, I must say, the cover art for Flash #9 Volume 3 is lousy! Almost makes Bart look like a bulldog!
