Hawk & Dove among the first DCnU series cancelled

With people like Rob Liefeld credited as artist and even writer, this shouldn't be surprising. The new take on Mr. Terrific and Blackhawks were also among the series reported cancelled. Of all the series that were selling badly, H&D was one of the lowest on the charts.
What it tells is that Liefeld's name has since come to guarantee pure disaster, and nobody interested in quality books wants to buy even one where he's the writer, since there too, his efforts can be quite unreadable. It's too bad, because Hawk & Dove could probably have potential to make for a decent story. But if the writing was as bad as Liefeld's own art can be, and it depicted Hank Hall as more a lunatic than a reasonable fellow, that's just one more reason why the latest attempt at a series spotlighting H&D was doomed. And the same could be said for the Mr. Terrific series if its portrayal of Republicans was equally negative.

Except the sales of Hawk and Dove were NOT the lowest, and in fact were greater than Captain Atom and the Ray. If 18,000/month is the drop-off, than I expect to see Voodoo and Shade go next. Also, if you wanna talk facts, get the facts.
