Lilith Clay undergoes horrific remake
It was bad enough when Omen was killed off in the Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day story in 2003, one of the worst of its sort since there was no convincing menace involved, and then largely obscured. Now they're taking things further downhill by turning Lilith into a villainess, and probably using the fact that an official origin was never written down for Lilith as their tedious excuse. That's pretty much what the DCnU is all about.

DC was never one to use Lilith Clay properly, but I wasn't expecting the villain route. Is DC so bankrupt of ideas, it's taking from Marvel? We already have one comic company that is hellbent about turning heroes into villains, we don't need two.

I'd say they are bankrupt of ideas. That's why they rebooted everything; they don't have any new ideas, so they feel the need to alter what better writers did in the past to fit their own vision of how things should be done. The inmates running this asylum (and the one over at Marvel as well) need to be replaced, or otherwise I don't see how they're going to get new readers.
