GI Joe movie sequel delayed until next year
Just a month or so before it was initially scheduled for release, the sequel has now been delayed until March 2013, which is hardly a time of year for a big blockbuster action movie, and according to the studio, it's:
...in order to adapt the movie for 3-D screensReally? All that suggests is that it's worse than the promos are telling, because if they really wanted to format the film for 3-D, something I don't find particularly appealing, they could've done it already. Now, all they've done is signal that even if it's not as bad as the first movie, it could still be a botch job. Clearly, they've never had much respect for the franchise to begin with.
Labels: licensed products, msm propaganda
Transparent lie. They're terrified of market saturation. With Avengers, Spider-Man, Dark Knight, an Aliens prequel, etc. all on the docket, who was really itching to see the Real UN-Approved Hero (even if it does look much, much better than the original)?
Not to mention that The Hunger Games (their justification for moving it) wasn't 3-D.
There are times when simply taking the action and following it with a "no comment" is better PR than obviously false spin.
