They were apparently willing to listen to the backlash, and have reinstated Gail Simone as the writer for Batgirl.
I just hope this wasn't a publicity stunt as it might have been when Mark Waid was almost fired from the Fantastic Four in 2004. Such ideas don't help the medium's image and only enforce the impression that the companies are desperate to be noticed at all costs.

Gail Simone is someone for whom I have no regard for her work, but then I'm not part of the magic 40,000 remaining obsessive compulsives who will buy DC output including her work no matter what they might really think of it.
As a long time apologist for her employer, the current tar baby clusterf_ck can only be seen as... karma.
