The New 52 is unsafe for women
There is one writer she cited, however, whom I firmly disagree knows how to handle the material: Geoff Johns, the one and only. Besides, he was instrumental in leading the DCU to where it's at now. His treatment of Johnny Thunder, IMO, was pretty poor, as was his use of Hawkgirl Kendra Saunders in the Fair Play storyline: when several members of the JSA were taken hostage by Roulette to use as pawns in her Most Dangerous Game-style competition, Kendra was chained in a makeshift temple so that Hawkman and Sand would have to come rescue her. And I'm wondering why it had to be Carter Hall doing the saving rather than Kendra (or Shiera Sanders, recalling that the Kendra character was more like a shell for reincarnated Shiera to dwell inside). Yet that was nothing compared to his mistreatment of Linda Park West in his rendition of the Flash. Who cares if the initial fate of Wally and Linda's children was reversed at the end? We did not need to go through such aggravation to get there.
This New 52 definitely hasn't been something women will find appealing, nor should they spend any money on it.
