Simone's Clean Room must've been an attack on the right
Clean Room now reads like a pointed commentary on Trump and I am sure it’s going to be read that way, but it was mostly written well before anyone believed he could be elected. https://t.co/fd9dC6K8q2— GAIL SIMONE (@GailSimone) December 31, 2017
And even before he was, I'm guessing the book was supposed to be a subtle attack on right-wing politicians? I looked at a synopsis given about the plot; it does appear to be political intrigue, though I can't tell at a simple glance if it's the kind Simone's implying.
But it won't surprise me at all if the graphic novel is meant to be an attack on right-wingers, that's for sure. Simone's one of various writers who've gone out of their minds over their political differences in the past decade, and have been using comicdom as a soapbox for their dislike of conservatives at the expense of entertainment value.
