Neal Adams disappoints again

Adams just can't refrain from political comments. Here's one of his recent ones:

Here, one has to wonder, what does skin color have to do with anything? He's not doing any good by dragging that into the discussion either, and it's only going to make him look ridiculous. Adams even ignores that Trump's popularity among black Americans is getting higher. At this point, one can only wonder why Adams bothered to ask whether conservatives in comicdom faced discrimination and blacklisting if this is how he's going to act now, presumably, because he's so scared of being ostracized by the medium, even though they're bound to turn against him regardless.

Again, Adams would do well to stop talking about politics, or at least get off of Twitter for a change. So far, he's not doing what would benefit him better.

". Adams even ignores that Trump's popularity among black Americans is getting higher."

The article you link to quotes a Rasmussen poll. You have to be careful with those; Rasmussen regularly gives Trump 5 to 10 % higher numbers than any of the other polls; you have to take their figures with a grain of salt.

His 180 degree turn around would seem to indicate somebody "hipped" him that the internet is now, in effect, the US version of Mao's cultural revolution and "denounce or be denounced" is the order of the day if you wish to survive.

It is not an 180 degree turnaround; his politics are the same as they always were. A year ago, he tweeted

"Neal Adams‏ @nealadamsdotcom
Follow @nealadamsdotcom

Trump gets three people released, while he's putting the whole world in danger with North Korea and giving away the STORE to Kim!.
And this makes him President????????
Are you all out of your mind?

His opinions are honest, not career advancement. At this stage of his career, he does not need to tailor his opinions to anyone to get work, and the bulk of his income has always come from advertising and other commercial art, not comics.

I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
