My Little Pony cartoon features lesbian couple in last season

Another TV cartoon turns to foisting LGBT propaganda onto tons of unwitting children and their parents. The Daily Wire reports that the My Little Pony series subtitled Friendship is Magic is going a route similar to the Arthur cartoon:
LGBT pride will be coming to the Discovery Family show "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" this weekend in an episode that will feature a lesbian couple.

According to HuffPost, the episode will air Saturday and introduce the characters Aunt Holiday and Auntie Lofty, who both take care of the character Scootaloo.

"The characters previously appeared in the 2017 book 'Ponyville Mysteries: Riddle of the Rusty Horseshoe,' but this will be their first appearance on the Discovery Family series, a reboot of the Hasbro 1980s original," reports the outlet. "One of the series’ writers, Michael Vogel, pointed out the perfect timing of the episode’s June 15 air date."
Nope, not good timing. Just another example in the encroachment of homosexual culture upon children's entertainment, putting politically motivated propaganda before the entertainment value, of course. In this article from the awful Buzzfeed, the openly homosexual writer told:
Vogel told BuzzFeed News that the idea for the aunts was a collaboration between himself and showrunners Nicole Dubuc and Josh Haber.

"I think it’s fantastic that we can show that what truly defines a family is love — that, to me, is the core of My Little Pony," Dubuc said.

It all started with getting them approved for that book.

"Nicole and I thought this was a great opportunity to organically introduce an LGBTQ couple in the series, and we asked Hasbro and they approved it," Vogel said.
Hmm, I wonder how many parents will continue buying the Pony merchandise for their children after this embarrassment? This has got to be at least half the result of when a business is owned by conglomerates, many of whom are left-leaning, and have so many products and other creations in their stables, they can't handle them all, don't really want to, and everything gets out of hand. No wonder conglomerates and corporations like Disney and Time Warner are now seen through a jaundiced eye by those with more common sense.
"With Josh and Nicole running the final season together, it was something we all wanted to do — bring this out couple into the final season and make them 'officially' a part of the MLP world."

Haber said that, like other shows, fans love shipping same-sex pairings on MLP, even if they're not canon. This gave them a way to make a same-sex pairing a reality.

"Diversity and representation are important for kids for so many reasons, and it’s my first priority on everything I work on," he said.

For Vogel, who is gay, it was important to him for the show to reflect the real world.

"My Little Pony has always been about friendship and accepting people (or ponies) that are different from you. So it just felt like something important to do," he said.
In other words, it's about accepting ideologies and cultures no matter how degrading and poor an example they happen to be, but of course, he won't admit there's a difference between race and ideology. Something he won't admit, of course, because he clearly doesn't have what it takes to actually defend his beliefs as the positive influence he views them as.

And according to the equally awful Comics Beat, these particular characters were introduced already in an earlier tie-in merchandise:
Believe it or not, Holiday and Lofty were first introduced in a 2017 media tie-in prose book Ponyville Mysteries: Riddle of the Rusty Horseshoe, so the episode is their first proper appearance in animation, appropriately during Pride Month. The last few years have certainly been a watershed moment for LGBTQ representation in children’s animation. [...]
So it looks like Hasbro already lost their minds. Now, everybody's going to wonder how much more of their merchandise has or will soon have LGBT propaganda in it, maybe even GI Joe. Shudder. It's bad enough the show already had a scandal, with a Welsh-Canadian staffer jailed for storing child porn on his computer. This latest sensationalism is no improvement.

What's interesting here is that they chose to inject this propaganda just as the series is coming to a close. This way, they needn't worry going forward about real-time Nielsen ratings, because it won't be airing new episodes any longer. There are past TV shows that may have used this same gimmick, but few are as blatantly political in their motivations as this is. One has to wonder if there'll ever be a Pony cartoon ever again, because those who recall what was done in the last season of Friendship is Magic will be wary of the possibilities they might dredge up this embarrassment again. Clearly, this is a case of SJWs wrecking the chances of ever managing a successful franchise again in the future, certainly so long as merchandise like MLP is in the hands of unreliable corporations and conglomerates.

Once again: I am not against gay marriage, or equal rights for LGBT people. But sexuality is just not an appropriate subject for a children's franchise.

The kids watching MLP or Arthur are too young to understand "normal" heterosexuality, much less alternative lifestyles.

TheWrap.com recently reviewed The Secret Life of Pets 2, and condemned it for toxic masculinity and for not having any token LGBTQWERTY characters.

The latest incarnation of the MLP franchise pretty much ran it's course some time ago and was noted for both being entertaining and innocent. This sounds like Rowling proclaiming Dumbledore was gay ex post facto for the attention.

When My Little Pony features heterosexual marriages and relationships, it does not show the characters having sex with each other or refer overtly to sexuality; the ponies are not even anatomically correct. I don't expect that Holiday and Lofty are going to be any more disturbing of the viewer's innocence.

...Arthur is still producing new episodes? I thought it was reduced to reruns since around 2000?
