Alan Moore wants his residuals donated to an awful source

In hugely disappointing news regarding a writer already known to be leftist, Breitbart's reported Alan Moore, once known, if anything, for his Swamp Thing run in the mid-1980s, has also had fallouts with DC, but the really bad news is that he's giving his residuals to a far-left movement that's only hurt America:
Comic book writer Alan Moore — the creative force behind Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and other titles — has revealed that he no longer accepts royalty checks from DC Comics for movies and TV series based on his works. Instead, he has asked his checks be sent to Black Lives Matter.

Alan Moore made the revelation in an interview this week with The Telegraph.

The British newspaper asked Moore about reports of his taking the money he makes from Hollywood and dividing it among other creatives.

“I no longer wish it to even be shared with them. I don’t really feel, with the recent films, that they have stood by what I assumed were their original principles,” he said. “So I asked for DC Comics to send all of the money from any future TV series or films to Black Lives Matter.”

[...] As Breitbart News reported, 2022 tax documents show BLM appeared headed toward insolvency, with an $8.5 million deficit after blowing through two-thirds of the $90 million raised since the summer riots of 2020 that laid waste to numerous cities across the country.
Moore's ignorance is stunning. He's practically made clear he's frozen in the 1970s and 1980s. BLM proved itself one of the most offensive movements in the USA, doing far more harm than good, causing more division than unity, and they're the only ones Moore wants to donate his royalties to? Most mysterious how these veteran liberals won't even donate to Israeli victims of Islamic terrorism, or even victims of 9-11. They always seem to stick tight with the most obvious, and worst choices. And really disturning in turn is if Time Warner's willing to deliver the checks to the far-left movements per Moore's request unreservedly.

Chuck Dixon posted the following query about all this: And why are those the only kind of movements ignoramuses like Moore seem to pay any attention to, or research? With this, Moore's definitely made it necessary to separate between art and artist, and take a lot of his work with a grain of salt too. It's news like this that makes it hard to feel sorry any movie based on one of his comics was a failure.

  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
