A comic about the Irish city of Limerick
AUTHOR Hugh McMahon has launched his new comic book - one inspired by the humour of his city. This sounds impressive, and I'm sure it'll offer a lot more than most mainstream USA comics do on these subjects.
Hugh’s new book, Limerink: Limerick City in Words and Pictures, documents the life and culture of Limerick city through a 48-page hand drawn comic book.
[...] Several familiar Limerick landmarks and street scenes feature including the pubs, bridges, churches bridges, sports fields and markets.
The comic is full of cartoons and illustrations documenting the colourful speech, sayings and proverbs heard every day, all over the city.
Sport, fashion, food, work, family, religion, weather, money and love are all explored in words and pictures throughout the comic book.
