This movie article on USA Today (via
Big Hollywood) does something amazing: it actually calls the Batman supervillain Bane as seen in The Dark Knight Rises a variation on the Occupy movement:
Last month, the ultimate occupier, Bane, led his forces against the Gotham City elite in The Dark Knight Rises— taking over the stock exchange. On Friday, Cosmopolis hits theaters, with Robert Pattinson as a financier whose limousine navigates through mobs of angry protesters.
Pretty amazing that a left-wing newspaper is willing to admit that Bane's rendition in DKR is similar to how the Occupiers were acting.
