USA Today spoke about the New 52 version of the Suicide Squad, which is going to cross over with Batman's Death of the Family storyline to swindle more money from anyone unfortunate enough to buy it, and look what one of the supercrooks already featured has done:
Upcoming issues will return to the ongoing story line involving Basilisk, deal with the apparent sacrifice of Deadshot, delve more into other character's stories, and introduce new adversaries for the Squad. That nobody with a weak stomach would want to know about, I'm certain. So there's another third-tier series they're publishing that's been exploited as a cheap excuse for sensationalistic gore. I don't know if Deadshot really kills himself here - they probably wouldn't want to do away with a supervillain as easily as they would some of the good guys - but the violent tone being served up by the writer, Adam Glass, ensures that this will remain a title with a very low recognition level.
And the appearance of the Joker will also increase the already high level of action and violence in Suicide Squad, which has seen King Shark eat a Squad member, among other incidents.
