Fifth grade class in Camden learns about the art form
He and McNulty became friends after meeting at a comics convention and discussing the finer plot points of Superman’s (not really) death in a 1992 DC comic. There was nothing "finer" about that mediocre dud at all. It was all just a whole waste that didn't have to be. On the other hand, they did say that:
“We told the kids: It’s not just how well you can draw — it’s how well you can tell a story.”Now if only they could tell that to the staff at the Big Two today. Or better yet, why don't they let the kids know modern superhero comics have become a terrible affair? Children today shouldn't be kept in the dark about how bad they've become, and why today's output isn't even suitable for them.
